InsAllah I will sing this song for my kids one day in the future...

Hush little baby

\\: Hush little baby, pure and small,

He created you, he created us all.

Hush little baby, don't you feel,

We never alone, when Allah so near.

Hush little baby, breathing so calm,

He protect us all, and keep us from harm.

Hush little baby, still and serene,

You are a Muslim, ISLAM, your DEEN. :\\

Yesterday we went into the 10'th months of the islamic calender, Shawwāl. Literally it means ''lift or carry'', named of a female camel that normally about this time was carring a fetus.

In the first three days the Eid Al-Fitr is celebrated.

The six following day is recommended for fasting. If you did fasting under all ramazan and do this six extra days it says it will be rewarded as if you had been fasting a whole year.

If completed whole ramazan you will be rewarded at least ten times of oruc equivalent days. Lets do some maths, Ramazan is 30x10=300 plus six days of Shawwāl 6x10=60, which makes 300+60= 360 days. And the Islamic calender is 10 days shorter the Gregorian calender.

Its no priority like under ramazan that you have to do it exactly this days, you can do one and later follow up another day in the month of Shawwāl.

I choose to do my Shawwāl later under the month. Insallah...

Shawwāl (شوّال) is the tenth month of the lunar Islamic calendar. Shawwāl means to ‘lift or carry’; so named because she-camels normally would be carrying a fetus at this time of year.

Yes, it was to wake up at 8 am and pick up grandmum one hour later.

We were going on a car rally on south Gotland, arranger they gave us a map on diffrent stations that we should stop at. Visit people in there homes and some other cultur and nature events.

1. Start line in Öja churtch. One of Gotlands biggest and most remarkable, but mostly famouse from his trimph crucifix.

2. We drive to Faludden and visit Labans bakery, there he talked about how he started up his bakery for 20 years ago. Started in there own kitchen and it want bigger so had to move to to many other places on the farm, now he is baking in the barn (cowhouse) but with out cows. Mostly they bake on ''dinkel'' its a special flour that they produce by them self.

3. Lilla Sindarve och family Thomasson, opening up there barn with 100 cows. Also that house have belonged to my passed away grandpas parents. A big lovely house with a more bigger frutegarden. Grandmum and I tasted a plum, a plus for them.

On our way to number 4 we stoped at Hamra churtch to look over some relative graves and ate our tasty picknick in the sun.

4. Fredarve-Slottet (Fredarve-Castel) at Hule Hällar. A ruin form a medieval house, it had been four floors when Carl von Linné was here on Gotland at 1741. Now its just the stove left.

5. You drive to Bonsarve and there you find a restored windmill. You went all the way up in the topp and when we came down the offerd applecookie and lemonwater. Thats what is needed when you go on high heights.

6. Muskmyr. There you find many kinds of land, flowers, birds and a special animal a Muskox. Sadly they were hiding somewhere on the 40 hectare so we could not see them.

7. Körsbärsträdgården at Västergårda Sundre. The new built art gallery and there graden is open for visit.

8. Limestone quarry at Sundre. Not even grandmum had been there before and dident even know about it. There they are breaking stones and saling to Stockholm there its in fashion to have this Gotlandish limestone.

9. Gullstaini (The golden stone). When we got there it was closed, but we have seen this place many times before so we drove on and looked just on the beautiful view.

10. Finish line at Vamingbo churtch. There we could look around in the priest vicarage, Naturum, Forum Baltic Sea, Museum Lars Jonsson or maybe take a coffe in there café. Also the new Governor of Gotland spoke.

At the museum grandmum bougth me two postcards that I will make painting of.

A great day with sun, laughter and interesting information.

Welcome and visit Gotland, make same trip as we did!!

The last day of Eid Al-Fitr is coming to his end and a whole year till next ramazan.

Its also 9 years ago World Trade Center got hit by two planes sent by Al Qaida. A horrible happening! Now when its almost 10 years ago it feels like people are starting to forget about this. It cant be forgoten!

Yes I am a muslim and people hates mostly muslim people for what happen at that day. But one big thing is that all muslim is not in Al-Qaida, far away from it. Islam has so many diffrent directions, same like in Christianity. The main directions are Shia or Sunna, but also in this two there are some groups. If I remember right its 4 diffrent groups in Sunna. Me and my mans family belong to Shafi. 10 % of all muslims in the world is Shia and Al-Qaida is one of them.

Anyway do some reserch before you deside what to think about Islam!

About USA, I think its great that they will build a Camii (mosque) at ground zero. What is a better way to make clear that people from All diffrent religion, cultur, race and handicap can live together!

So many war have been fighted, so many persons have been killed, so many have been treated bad and so many have got there house and future destroyed.

Lets do better from now on. Help people that need help, just ask the person next to you; How are you today?

And maybe you will bring that person a smile, a smile he/she will maybe remember for a long time.

An exampel... instead of just reading peoples status on facebook send a message, ask how they really are!

I am one of those that is just reading and Im so ashame of my self...Im not better then anyone!

Mum and I have been in Visby this afternoon.

And becouse I cant celebrate so much with tatli, lokum or any great turkish food.

I bouth two scarfs which was on sale. Should cost 99 skr but now 30 skr each.

Mum was shoping lose! Found pants, a tunic and new wallpapers to the kitchen! Finaly that puke green will disappear!! I have disliked it seen the day it got up on the wall. So now it will be beige with white leaf and some purple veins. We got paint for the ceiling so all kitchen will be as new! Maybe the paint will be enough for my rooms ceiling too...

So Now I got stuff to do here at home till december when My Man is out from army!

I talked to him today! So great to see his face after 30 days. He is fine, army is hard but okay. What suck the most is that they dont get iyi food, beans in can, even served hot or cold. They got hard training under sun all day, starting at 6 am and the day is finished at 10 pm. But now he will be in carsi (downtown), so there duty will soon start. Two hours at night and two in day time, not fun to have the night duty. He is close to Agri mountain which means can be down to -30 C! Freaking freezing!!

So pleace make dua for him!!

This is how my henna tattoo turned out.

I got little disappointed, it got to light.

I should have put more on or stayed longer.

Av Kristin - 9 september 2010 21:08

This evening I made a henna tattoo to celebrate Bayram!!

Its better then last time, but last times was also my first one.

Got insperation through google and found two easy and nice tattoos.

This is how I did;

I got three bags of henna on a wedding, henna is also called kina in turkish.

You mix the powder with water so you get a consistence that you like and is good to work with.

Then you paint it one with a shot, pin or a stick, just its has a small end.

You can paint it on free hand if you are good or you make a sketch before like I had to do. Im not a good painter...

After you cover it with plastic and a sock.

I accerly could not have plastic on, becouse it started to be water drops inside. So hopefully the henna will burn iyi.

My last henna was stuck for a month. As longer you keep it protected that longer it will show. But the true result will not not show untill tomorrow when I wash the henna rest away.

Welcome to Bayram Eid Al-Fitr also called Seker Bayrami.

The bayram that muslim celebrate the end of ramazan. If I should have been in Turkey right now, we should right in this momnet have been eating breakfast. Other relatives should have been joining us.

This day, the first day of Eid Al-fitr is the most importent day of them three. Yes this bayram is not just one day not it can be up to three- four days.

It have been made big preperation for this day, every where have been cleand, curtains have been changed, a new kolonya have been bought, also lamb, lokum, tatli, türk kahve and not to forget the BIG cay brewer is taken up.

This day kids maybe have there newest clothes, woman have there best dress and men a shirt of good quality.

Yes its fiesta in the air!

Relatives, relatives relativ, neighbors and the friends are coming to visit eachother. The young people are visiting the old. Kids are kissing them older on there hand, showing respect and for that they resive money. So if you are smart you can get alot of money.

So for me that are living with Gökhan and his grandparents, well we have guests all day. But they just stay between 5-20 min, just so they can sit down get there lokum and ask how grands are feeling. Us younger woman are in kitchen serving.

But if they are gonna visit all these people thay dont have much time...

Not like here in Sweden when we at least stay for 30 min. Drink coffe or stay over lunch. No no but not in Turkey!

Last year I had no idea how a bayram was gonna be. But I learnd so the last day it was me serving kolonya and lokum. Hard part is which you should start with and then try to go down in age...not so easy when you dont know relatives relativ.

I will miss the feeling to be together, see everyone and all that food (not lamb!!) and other great thinks...

Lokum is so good, its like marmelade but more like gelatine consistenc and inside can be diffrent nuts, like dates, pistachios and hazelnuts or walnuts. On outside dusted with flour, icing sugar, copra, or powdered cream.

Kerebic, one of the best tatli (dessert). Come from Mersin, so many other people have no idea what this is.

Its a roll made of semolina and inside it can be nuts like pistachio or walnuts. On top its a cream made from the Kerebic roots that makes a speciall tast, and last some cinnamon dusted on.

Oh Türk kahve, ile az sekerli (Turkish coffe, with little suger) Thats something you have to drink under bayram.

Its being served in mini cups and just taken the foam when its boiling in pot. The result will be that half cup is coffe-grounds (you should not drink that). When you drank the top that is coffe you turn the cup over. Put something that is meaningful for you on the cups bottem, like a ring. Wait untill the cup is cold and lift then it up and try to see your future. Some womans are pretty good on that, me nope!

Thigs that I dont miss is the headache you get in the evening, imagine all those womans talking togeter. OMG!

Herkes Iyi Bayramlar!!
